Summary 4

Copyright is pretty interesting. I hadn't considered how much trouble YouTube would be in if there wasn't protection for services that act as "conduits" of content. YouTube is special because it has automated content flagging, so when I used to try and find free movies and music on YouTube, a lot of it was taken down or had its sound removed. Sometimes I could find what I was looking for, but the video would be sped up, low quality, or small compared to the frame of the video... All just to circumvent YouTube's copyright protection. Additionally, an interesting government website that wasn't mentioned in the book is time.gov. time.gov by the National Institute of Standards and Technology maintains exceptionally accurate time based on the average reading of around ten super fancy clocks.
