I think it would be really cool to have a website, and this chapter provided some good information on making that happen. I think it would mainly be a personal website for myself to upload projects and thoughts. It might be a good resume piece, too. I would have to look into some web hosting services like mentioned in the the text, which is a little annoying. Since I wouldn't need much bandwidth at all, I think I could get away with self-hosting it... Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that and I wonder if it would be a safety hazard anyway. I would also have to get better at HTML and learn some javascript, but I don't think it will be too terribly hard to pick those up to a functional degree.
Speaking of HTML, when I was experimenting with it, I was surprised how lenient it was to errors. HTML never complains, crashes, or warns... HTML only ignores. In a way it makes sense why xHTML exists even though it isn't used much, it's like an answer to HTML's free-form easygoing nature.
